Bodegas Urabain is situated in Navarra, northern Spain, along the Saint James Pilgrimage route.
Navarra is a region steeped in culture and history, and where the winemaking tradition stretches back to Roman times. The winery is located in Allo, a small town in the flat stretch of land at the foot of Montejurra, 12 kilometres south of the ancient Roman city of Estella (an important halt along the St. James trail).
Standing witness to the age-old tradition of winemaking is a Roman archaeological museum known as "La Villa de las Musas de Arellano". Here, visitors are invited to see the ruins of a Roman villa over two thousand years old. The oldest part of the site was dedicated to winemaking. Today visitors can see the layout and equipment used by the Romans to make wine.
